Non-Rotating Cementing Plugs
COS Non-Rotating Cementing Plugs are designed with integral teeth cores that lock into place, preventing rotation during drill-out operations. Available in both top and bottom configurations, these plugs ensure efficient cement displacement and reduced wear on drill bits.
Manufactured with phenolic plastic cores (up to 13 3/8″) or cast aluminum cores (16” to 20” and above, on request), these plugs are fully PDC drillable for faster, safer cementing operations.
Key Benefits
- Prevents rotation during drill-out → faster, safer, and lower-cost operations
- Protects drill bits from excessive wear and damage
- Provides reliable casing wipe and separation of fluids
- Fully PDC drillable for easy removal
- Available in a wide range of casing sizes, with custom options
Features
- Core Materials: Phenolic (≤13 3/8”), Aluminum (16”–20”+, larger sizes available on request)
- Top Plug: Used to separate displacement fluid from cement slurry
- Bottom Plug: Used to separate cement slurry from drilling fluid in dual-plug systems
- Integral tooth design prevents plug rotation during drill-out
- Sizes: 2 7/8” to 30” (special sizes available)
Applications
- Dual or single plug cementing systems
- Wells requiring efficient displacement and mud removal
- Operations where reliable, non-rotating drill-out is critical
